Removal Rear Doorpanels Seat Leon 1P
(v2.0)
Step 1 – Removal parts.
Start with the removal of the three separate parts on the doorpanel.
-
Clothing : Just pull it off. Start at the most left side and use a big flat-head screwdriver of wedge
to click the clothing off. Unhook the cable which controls the lock.
-
Grip : Start at the most right side. If you remove the clothing first you will see an opening in
which you can put a flathead screwdriver. Click the grip off gently.
-
Speaker cover : Remove by using a big flathead screwdriver. Just pull it off.
Step 2 – Remove the speaker (original of aftermarket)
Remove the speaker from the compartment.
Step 3 – Fixate the window
Use good tape to fixate the window. Because the up-down-mechanism will be removed of the door it is
necessary to keep the window in its place.
Step 4 – Disconnect window mechanism
Loosen the two screws which are holding the window. Do not remove them completely! Power up the
car and use the window-down button to lower the mechanism. The window should be hanging onto the
tape. Lower it to about halfway down.
Step 5 – Remove al the screws
Remove al the screws which are holding the door panel to the door. When all the screws are removed
you can lift the panel up and out. The panel is hooked onto the door itself. Be careful with the wires
running behind the panel. They are clipped into little hooks. The can easily be removed but remove the
panel gently. No connecters need to be disconnected. You can put the panel aside in the car.
Step 6 - Putting it back together…
Just do everything in reversed order. Remember to put the wires back in their original clips ! When fixing
the window onto the up-down mechanism look at the marks on the glass were the original fixation was
done. Before closing the doorpanel make sure to test the up-down mechanism of the window !
